Digital Marketing Strategist and Content Creator
We are seeking a remote Marketing Strategist and Content Creator to drive holistic marketing efforts for a fine art ceramics studio in the professional services and creative goods space. This role will focus on developing and executing PR strategies, expanding social media engagement, optimizing an existing Squarespace website for SEO, and promoting teaching and digital products such as online workshops. The ideal candidate is a versatile marketer with a strong grasp of both strategy and implementation who can work autonomously, think creatively, and deliver consistent results. This position is perfect for a seasoned marketing professional experienced in digital storytelling, PR outreach, social channel growth, and digital product promotion, especially in artisanal or design-centered industries.
Work schedule
- Part-time, 20 hours per week
 - Monday to Friday
 - Working hours aligned with US Eastern Time (ET)
 
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to support sales of physical products and online teaching content
 - Build and maintain an outreach list of PR contacts; pitch and follow up with design magazines and media publications
 - Coordinate and implement email marketing initiatives, including list development, campaign creation, and performance tracking
 - Analyze and grow engagement across social platforms (primarily Instagram, with secondary opportunities in Pinterest, LinkedIn, and TikTok)
 - Create branded visual and written content for social media, promotional campaigns, and website updates
 - Guide and execute SEO improvements on Squarespace website, including identifying relevant keywords and developing appropriate content pages
 - Advise on lead generation strategies and conversion optimization, including development of email capture tools or promotional offerings
 - Support online course marketing including pricing, positioning, and implementation across web and social platforms
 - Assist in evaluating and establishing new distribution or sales partnerships such as gallery placements or high-end retail outlets
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field
 - 2+ years of experience in a digital marketing role with both strategy and content creation responsibilities
 - Proficient in Squarespace, Canva, Meta Business Suite, and basic SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console)
 - Strong English communication skills with proven experience in PR writing and strategic outreach
 - Demonstrated ability to grow and manage social media audiences, particularly on Instagram
 - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
 - Experience in artisan goods, fine art, design or creative industries highly preferred
 - Bonus: Experience with simple email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, ConvertKit) and CRM best practices
