Social Media Content Specialist
We are seeking a creative and organized Social Media Marketing Specialist to assist a life photographer focused on wedding, engagement, maternity, and family clients. This role involves managing and expanding the photographer’s online presence across blogging, Pinterest, and Instagram to enhance client acquisition. The ideal candidate has experience in social media marketing, content creation, and a strong understanding of SEO. This position is perfect for a proactive individual who can execute marketing strategies consistently while working independently.
Work schedule
- Part-time: 20 hours per week
- Eastern Standard Time Zone ( flexible with agreed turnaround times)
Responsibilities:
- Design and create visually compelling Pinterest pins, Instagram graphics, email graphics, and branded PDFs (e.g., what-to-wear guides, wedding prep magazine, lead magnets).
- Develop and manage content calendars aligned with marketing goals.Optimize and support social media profiles for increased visibility and engagement
- Format and optimize blog posts, including uploading media, processing images, adding alt text, internal linking, and applying SEO best practices.
- Repurpose blog content into keyword-driven Pinterest pins, Instagram posts, LinkedIn updates, and Google My Business posts.
- Conduct Pinterest keyword research to optimize pin titles, descriptions, and board placement for increased visibility.
- Manage content scheduling for Pinterest and Instagram
- Collaborate on email marketing in Kit (formerly ConvertKit) initiatives by designing and scheduling campaigns, automations, and nurture sequences that reflect brand voice and aesthetics.
- Organize and maintain client data in Dubsado and Airtable (or similar tools), track inquiries and bookings, and prepare simple monthly summary reports.
- Track and repot on key performance indicators across social media and website metrics
- Support the growth of brand presence on LinkedIn, Google My Business, and other platforms that increase search visibility.
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as updating client records, preparing contact lists for outreach, and coordinating reminders for birthdays, anniversaries, and milestones.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in social media marketing, content design, digital marketing, or a related field
- Proficiency with Canva or similar graphic design tools for creating compelling digital content for social media, blogs, Pinterest, and PDFs.
- Strong understanding of SEO, keyword research, and current digital marketing trends.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Familiarity with Kit (previously ConvertKit) and Dubsado CRM is highly beneficial; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and initiative to recommend improvements.
- Experience working with photography or creative service providers is a plus.
