Associate Content Developer
The Content Developer is responsible for creating valuable content that supports the marketing and SEO objectives of clients across Scorpion’s supported verticals.
Both technical and creative in nature, the role requires a strong working knowledge of content & SEO best practices to develop high-quality, informative blogs and web pages. Content Developers must be effective written communicators who can comfortably research, write, and edit for a variety of clients and business models at scale.
The right candidate will have a strong command of the English language, including grammar and diction, and a demonstrated ability to effectively utilize AI tools to increase productivity and workflow.
Work schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Schedule aligned with U.S. Central Time business hours
Responsibilities
- Fulfill content deliverables for Scorpion clients (25-35 pages/week, 3,500 words/day).
- Client-requested content pieces
- Contractual blogging obligations
- Web pages for new launches
- Client edits and feedback
- Work in client’s proprietary systems to claim assignments, publish content, and evaluate campaign performance.
- Edit content to ensure it is factually accurate, grammatically correct, and reflects the appropriate tone and objectives for the client.
- Utilize AI tools to generate and edit content at scale.
- Manage clients’ content objectives and deliverables, adhering to client style guides and brand voice while appealing to target audience.
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to develop strategic, informative content designed to perform well in SERPs.
Success Metrics
- All projects/assignments delivered to client on or ahead of due date
- No incomplete assignments / projects
- Proactive and candid communication with Scorpion concerning work schedule, absences, deadline extensions, etc, with the potential for client-related communications (email, phone calls, zooms, etc.) as needed.
- Minimal to no content escalations from Scorpion management and/or clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in content development, copywriting, or editorial work
- Demonstrated ability to write and edit content at scale with high attention to detail
- Strong command of SEO best practices and digital content optimization
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently and maintain accountability in a remote work environment
- Typing speed of 60 WPM or higher
- Positive, solutions-focused mindset and collaborative approach
- A personal and/or professional writing portfolio or website is required
