Technical Recruiter – Contract (Engineering & Related Roles)
We’re seeking a hands-on Contract Technical Recruiter to rapidly source, screen, and place engineering talent — particularly Process Engineers in industrial water treatment (RO, UF, EDI/IX) — over a 3-month engagement. You’ll own full-cycle hiring for technical roles, partner closely with hiring managers, and deliver a high-quality candidate pipeline under tight timelines.
Work schedule
- Flexible with availability to support client in US time zone and regular meetings
- 2-month contract subject for extension based on performance and business needs
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end searches, from requirements gathering and sourcing through interviews, offers, and closures, for roles like Process Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, and related technical positions.
- Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, job boards, niche engineering forums, and data-driven outreach to build a pipeline of 50 or more qualified candidates per requisition.
- Conduct deep dives into candidates’ hands-on experience with RO, UF, EDI/IX, and other technical processes, process simulation tools, quoting, and project execution, and assess problem-solving and sustainability mindset.
- Administer technical assessments or personality tests as needed to evaluate candidate fit and cultural alignment.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to refine job specs, debrief after interviews, deliver candidate scorecards, and offer compelling market insights.
- Maintain up-to-date Rippling ATS records and other platforms used such as Retool/ internal Talent Portals, track KPIs (time-to-fill, time-to-hire, applications-to-hire ratio, and candidate quality), and present regular pipeline and performance reports.
- Assist with other requisition when needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience recruiting technical or engineering roles, with demonstrated success placing Process Engineers or similar.
- Deep familiarity with industrial water treatment or related domains (RO, UF, EDI/IX strongly preferred).
- Proven track record managing multiple searches under 14-to-30-day time-to-fill targets.
- Experience administering candidate assessments or personality inventories is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Hands-on proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, and recruitment automation tools.
- Highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable working to short timelines in a remote, contract setting.
- Effective communication both verbal and written.
