Process Specialist - Part-time
We are seeking an adept Process Specialist to support a dynamic incubator and holding company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed process documentation to enhance operational efficiency and support the growth of startup projects. This role demands a meticulous attention to detail and a strong ability to translate complex workflows into clear, actionable guides.
Work schedule
- Part-time commitment of 20 hours per week, with potential to scale depending on performance and business needs
- Work hours align with US Central Time business hours
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation for all startup projects within the incubator.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify process mapping needs and document critical workflows for ongoing and future operations.
- Ensure all process documents are up-to-date, accurate, and accessible to relevant team members and stakeholders.
- Assist in the implementation of new processes and provide training materials or sessions as needed to ensure smooth adoption across teams.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing documentation to reflect changes, improvements, or updates in technology and workflows.
- Support the project coordination team by documenting outcomes, decisions, and action items during project meetings and ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals.
- Manage ad hoc documentation requests from various departments to aid in process improvement and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in process documentation, business analysis, or a similar role, with a proven track record of creating high-quality, detailed documentation.
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an accessible and clear manner.
- Strong analytical abilities with a knack for identifying process efficiencies and documenting intricate workflows.
- Certification in Business Process Management (BPM), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or similar credentials that demonstrate expertise in process optimization and documentation.
- Advanced knowledge of documentation tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart for process mapping, and familiarity with project management software like Asana, Trello, or Monday.com.
- Prior experience in a startup or technology-driven environment, especially within an incubator or a social entrepreneurship setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technical Writing, Information Technology, or a related field.
