We are seeking an experienced Accountant with specialized knowledge in Buildium Property Management Software to join our team. This role requires expertise in managing financial records and accounts specifically using Buildium, to ensure efficient management of property portfolios. The ideal candidate will be adept at using Buildium to enhance financial operations, conduct clean-ups, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all accounting and financial processes within Buildium software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Perform regular account reconciliations, and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
• Streamline accounting functions and operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements in financial reporting and documentation.
• Prepare detailed monthly and annual financial reports and forecasts, utilizing Buildium to provide insights and analysis.
• Collaborate closely with property management teams to ensure alignment of financial management with overall property operations.
• Advise on best practices and optimizations in property management accounting, particularly within the Buildium platform.
• Address and correct mispostings, and recommend system enhancements to prevent future discrepancies.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Buildium Property Management Software.
• Proven background in accounting, specifically within US property management or rental company settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in financial forecasting and financial data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
