General Virtual Assistant

Remote - Metro Manila, National Capital Region Philippines

We are seeking a versatile Virtual Assistant with a strong accounting background to support a prominent tax preparation and financial services firm based in Hawaii. The role encompasses a blend of administrative duties, data entry, social media management, and specialized accounting support. 

Work schedule

  • 40 hours per week
  • 10am to 7pm  Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks including, managing correspondence, data input, and preparing documents.
  • Manage communications effectively, provide accurate information to clients, and maintain professional client relations. Coordinate seamlessly with internal team members and stakeholders to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Accurately enter and update information in our database to ensure all records are current and well-organized.
  • Assist in managing the company’s social media profiles, posting updates and engaging with the audience as directed.
  • Apply accounting principles to manage bookkeeping tasks and prepare accurate financial documents essential for tax preparation.
  • Handle additional duties as required, adapting swiftly to meet evolving business needs and support various operational demands.

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and adept at learning new software and technology quickly.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality or accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work in every aspect of the role.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of conveying information clearly and liaising with team members effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a remote setting.
  • Demonstrates a strong propensity for learning, with the ability to quickly absorb new information and adapt to new systems and processes effectively.
  • Background in accounting or bookkeeping is highly preferred. Experience with Drake tax software is a significant advantage.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks. 
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and strategies to effectively manage and enhance the company's online presence.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field is required.
